Editorial policy

Editorial standards

Metabolic Peptides editorial standards: evidence-first sourcing, periodic review cadence, regulatory transparency, conflict-of-interest controls and non-promotional framing.

By Metabolic Peptides Editorial TeamReviewed by Scientific Review PanelLast updated

Evidence-first

Every clinical claim is grounded in a peer-reviewed publication, regulatory document, official product information or trial registry record. Trial names (SURMOUNT, SURPASS, STEP, SUSTAIN, SELECT, SCALE, LEADER, FLOW, SUMMIT, TRIUMPH) are cited explicitly so readers can back-trace. See our source selection policy.

Review cadence

Pages are reviewed periodically and whenever a substantive change occurs in regulatory status, published trial evidence or safety signals. Each page carries an explicit "last reviewed" date.

How uncertainty is handled

Where evidence is provisional or under embargo we say so. Topline manufacturer press releases are not cited as if they were full publications. Phase 2 magnitude is not framed as phase 3 confirmation. Surrogate endpoints are not framed as outcomes.

How promotional language is avoided in editorial

  • No "best", "most potent", "miracle", "guaranteed", "fastest", "cheap", "buy", "get", "order" in editorial copy.
  • No before / after imagery for weight-loss medicines.
  • No influencer testimonials, no celebrity weight-loss framing.
  • No supplier directory or pharmacy ranking in the editorial navigation.

Sponsored advertising is separated from editorial

The site accepts a sponsored advertising partnership from PeptideBarn.co.uk. Ad units are visually distinct, carry a "Sponsored" label BEFORE the ad content per UK ASA / CAP disclosure rules, and use rel="sponsored noopener" outbound. Ad placements appear in dedicated slots (homepage hero banner, footer partner column, peptide profile sidebar cards, brand page CTA) — never inline within editorial prose, never within evidence tables, never within safety-signal or trial-summary body copy. See our conflict of interest policy for the full boundary between editorial and sponsored content.

How investigational, research-only and licensed compounds are kept apart

See how we distinguish licensed medicines from research compounds for the full taxonomy. Every page carries a compliance status panel naming the category.

Conflict of interest

The editorial team has no commercial relationship with any manufacturer of incretin medicines (Eli Lilly, Novo Nordisk, Pfizer, Boehringer Ingelheim, Amgen, Zealand, Hanmi, Theratechnologies, etc.), with any compounding pharmacy, or with any online pharmacy or telehealth service. The site does accept a sponsored advertising partnership from PeptideBarn.co.uk — a UK research-peptide reference supplier. Sponsored placements appear in clearly labelled ad units (hero banner, sidebar cards, brand-page CTA, footer partner column) with rel="sponsored" outbound links per Google Webmaster guidelines; the label "Sponsored" appears before the ad content per UK ASA / CAP Code disclosure requirements. Editorial content is independent of sponsorship: trial coverage, molecule profiles, safety-signal tracking and regulatory framing are selected by editorial standards alone. We also cross-link to a sister editorial resource, PeptideAuthority.co.uk. We do not sell, ship, prescribe or compound peptides. For the full statement see our conflict-of-interest policy.

Reporting an error
