About
About Metabolic Peptides
UK educational resource on metabolic peptides, GLP-1 medicines and incretin research. This site accepts sponsored placement from a disclosed research-peptide supplier partner (PeptideBarn.co.uk) — see /editorial/conflict-of-interest-policy. We do not prescribe, sell, compound or ship peptides and do not provide dosing or self-experimentation advice.
What this site is
Metabolic Peptides is an independent UK educational resource on metabolic peptides — the incretin class (GLP-1, GLP-1/GIP, GLP-1/GIP/glucagon), amylin and combination programmes, and the growth-hormone axis (GHRH analogues, GHS-R1a agonists, lipolytic peptide fragments). It is structured as a UK metabolic peptide research education and trial intelligence platform: regulation, evidence maturity, trial summaries, mechanism literacy, safety signal tracking, comparison tools and glossary references.
What this site is not
- Not a clinic, pharmacy, vendor, compounder, broker or supplier directory.
- Not a prescriber and not a source of prescriptions.
- Not a dosing guide, reconstitution guide, injection guide, titration calculator or self-experimentation protocol.
- Not an advertiser of prescription-only medicines to the public.
- Not a ranking, comparison or recommendation of any peptide supplier, online pharmacy, telehealth service or compounder.
Editorial standards
- Evidence-first. Every claim is anchored to peer-reviewed trials, regulatory documents (MHRA, EMA, FDA), trial registries or official product information.
- Trial names are cited explicitly (SURMOUNT, SURPASS, STEP, SUSTAIN, SELECT, SCALE, LEADER, FLOW, SUMMIT, TRIUMPH) so claims can be back-traced.
- Investigational compounds are clearly distinguished from UK-licensed medicines, and licensed medicines are clearly distinguished from off-label or compounded versions.
- Promotional language ("best", "most potent", "miracle", "guaranteed") is avoided. Evidence-led phrasing ("studied in", "reported in", "within the studied population") is preferred.
- UK English, reviewed periodically and when evidence changes. See editorial standards for the full policy and corrections policy for how to report an error.
Independence
We have no commercial relationship with any manufacturer of incretin medicines or with any compounding pharmacy. We do accept a sponsored advertising partnership from PeptideBarn.co.uk — a UK research-peptide reference supplier — which appears in clearly labelled ad units across the site. Sponsorship does not influence editorial content: trial coverage, molecule profiles, safety signals and regulatory framing are selected independently. See our conflict of interest policy for the full disclosure.
Sister site
Our sister editorial resource is PeptideAuthority.co.uk — a broader UK-focused reference catalogue of peptide molecules and research-methodology material. Both sites are independently edited under the same editorial standards.
